SOIL TILLAGE TOOL Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: soil tillage tool has shank with attachment clip, magnetic field source and soil cutting knives connected one with another through cross-piece. Surfaces of cutting knives are extending in parallel one with another. Each cutting knife is attached with its upper part to end of horizontal cross-piece. Magnetic field source is made in the form of inductor and is located on cross-piece between knives. Shank is rigidly connected by clip to each cutting knife and is arranged at an angle of 45 deg to vertical axis extending at right angle to cross-piece. Inductor is connected to regulated source of direct or unipolar pulse current. First and second soil cutting knives are attached to two opposite ends of poles of permanent magnet located on cross-piece between knives for magnetic shunting thereof through connecting web of ferromagnetic material. Each of soil cutting knives is made in the form of crescent-shaped shackle. Apparatus is used for preplant magnetizing of soil in the process of tillage. Magnetic field source is arranged at minimal distance from soil surface, so during tillage soil is exposed to magnetization within gap defined between two parallel knives. Preplant magnetization of soil facilitates structuring thereof, increases solubility of nutrient substances and improves activities of soil microflora.
