FIELD: hydrogenation- dehydrogenation catalysts. SUBSTANCE: using consecutive addition, mixed are: ferric oxide, bentonitic clay, and copper chloride at weight ratio 10:80:10. Then 30-40 wt % water (based on the weight of mix) is added. Resulting mix is molded by extrusion through 4-8-mm die holes onto metal sheets, resulting fibers are dried for 3-10 min at 60-75 C, broken into granules 6-12 mm long, and calcined for 1.5-3 h at 330-370 C. EFFECT: enabled utilization of C10 fraction of alkylbenzenes obtained from xylene fractionation plant and extended source of raw materials for production of high- grade oil coke. 2 tbl, 2 ex
