FIELD: metallurgy, possibly production of articles such as bolts and springs of titanium alloys. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of annealing blank of elongated rod at (680-800)C; subsequently quenching it by heating up to (780-880)C and cooling at rate of heating and cooling (0.1-25)C/s; aging by two stages at temperature of first stage (300-380)C and at temperature of second stage (400-520)C. Heating for quenching may be combined with deformation; quenching and deforming may be performed in one technological cycle. EFFECT: enhanced quality of articles, reduced labor consumption for making them, enhanced efficiency. 1 tbl
