FIELD: metal protection against corrosion. SUBSTANCE: apparatus is in the form of electrode arranged in closed dielectric envelope. Said envelope has openings cut along upper generatrix of electrode. Protection screen is mounted over said openings, screen is provided with exhaust pipe arranged with inclination relative to dielectric envelope. Electrode is placed horizontally on bottom of reservoir in aqueous-phase zone. Electric current is applied to anode electrode from direct current source uniformly in the whole volume of electrode. Ends of dielectric envelope are arranged mutually opposite near mounting hatches in vessel. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of protecting reservoirs against corrosion and improved explosion proofness degree, lowered labor consumption at changing electrodes of anode, improved trapping and removal of corrosion gases separated at operation of electrode, increased electrode using factor. 2 cl, 1 dwg
