DEVICE FOR INTAKE AND TRANSPORTATION OF BOTTOM SLUDGE Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: oil processing and petrochemical industries. SUBSTANCE: device for intake and transportation of bottom sludge includes floating body comprised of two pontoons, suction dredge with inlet and outlet pipes, flexible pressure hose connected through branch pipes to collector and mechanism for working movements with a drive. Suction dredge is made in the form of immersion monoblock electric pump secured to floating body with the help of system of immersion depth regulation whose lower part has a flexible coupling ensuring deviation of immersion pump from vertical position through 90 deg. Mechanism of working movements is installed on pond bank and connected with floating body by means of ring rope. It has a reversible engine with reducing gear and automatic control by means of limit switches mounted in points of connection of ring rope tp floating body. Mechanism of working movements has foundation plates and anchor bolts for its fastening located along sludge accumulating pond spaced at equal intervals onto which mechanism is successively installed as cleaning of settling pond is, and additional foundation plates on which posts are installed with tensioning rollers for slackening and tensioning of rope in reinstallation of mechanism of working movements. Collector with branch pipes for connection of pressure flexible hose is sectional and located along foundation plates. Said device is designed for intake and transportation of bottom sludge found in freely dispersed or viscous flow state and having content of dry matter in amount of 1-15 wt. %, from settling ponds, mainly, included into composition of biological treatment works which require periodic removal of bottom sludge without interfering with pond functioning. EFFECT: simplified design and higher reliability of intake device as a whole and mechanism of working movements, in particular, reduced metal content and weight of device, provision of natural humidity of gathered bottom sludge. 2 dwg
