FIELD: civil engineering, in particular, metal frames of multispan buildings. SUBSTANCE: the metal frame of a multispan building has I-shaped columns, having bearing members at the level of the floors, they are positioned on the outer side of the flanges of the I-shaped columns. The beams are built up of two metal members of channel bar or I-shaped section, which by the upper flanges are hanged and rest against the column bearing members. The beams are made continuous and may have an inner reinforced- concrete member located in the cavity between the metal members. EFFECT: reduced acting loads and thus reduced specific consumption of materials. 4 cl, 4 dwg
