FIELD: oil and gas producing industry; applicable in technology of removal of hydrate-paraffin formations. SUBSTANCE: surface of heater body has mutually crossing right and left grooves of thread type. Pitch of grooves is equal to groove width multiplied by a number of entries selected from conditions of groove inclination angle exceeding angle of friction with metal of well fluid in mixture with hydrate-paraffin formation in its liquid phase after warming-up. Heater has an instrument head for connection with cable head and electrical resistor. When heater is switched on, it body is heater, and it transmits heat through top and side surfaces to hydrate-paraffin formations. EFFECT: accelerated worming up due to increased surface of heat transmission and channels for withdrawal of molten hydrate-paraffin formations. 2 dwg
