FIELD: automobiles, war machinery and special vehicles. SUBSTANCE: proposed headlight is provided with pack of plane-parallel plates installed between reflector and lens. Plate-to-plate distance, thickness of plates and their number are determined depending on headlight action, diameter of reflector and distance from ground level to top point of reflector. Each plate is made with upper non-reflecting dark-dull surface and lower reflecting surface. Pack can have additional plates arranged in lower part of pack so that each following plate is installed at angle exceeding that of angle of installation of preceding plate by 0.3 to 3 degrees. To increase rigidity of pack, plates can be fixed by one or several vertical partitions. Invention provides increase in lower beam headlight range of action and eliminates blinding of on-coming drivers. If necessary, light spot towards the automobile can be widened. EFFECT: increased safety and improved comfort in riding. 3 cl, 12 dwg
