FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: machine has drawing and mowing drums rotating around substantially vertical axes and grinders for cut plants. Drums have gripping teeth and are arranged transverse to and in front of respective cut plant grinder located in mid portion. Drums are overlapped by immovable covering plates, which are fixed on machine with their upper sector rotating with respect to grinder. Separating sharpened ends are positioned in the region forward of gap between adjacent drums. Outer edge of covering plates has convexity arranged in zone adjacent to respective sharpened end, in direction opposite to machine advancement direction. Convexity opens gripping teeth of drums to define opening for passage of plants between gripping teeth. Depending on kind of farm crop, opening may be closed with locking member. EFFECT: increased crop yield, wider range of stalked crops that may be mowed and ground by machine. 8 cl, 7 dwg
