FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to milling, particularly, to vertical mill with enclosed vertical milling drum accommodating transfer screw driven to allow transfer of grinding bodies upward. Set of grinding bodies is self-adjusted in operation so that convex surface formed thereby has radial slopes directed downward and to the end of discharge window lower edge. Gas is injected into milling drum above set of grinding bodies. Gas release and discharge of milled material from said drum are carried out via discharge opening in the area of top surface formed by set of grinding bodies.
EFFECT: high fineness of milling.
