LIFT FOR AUTOMOBILES Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: automotive industry; automobiles maintenance and repair equipment. SUBSTANCE: lift has base in form of frame provided with wheels and lift mechanism with main hydraulic cylinder and levers forming parallelogram mechanism together with tie-rods. Lift id furnished additionally with hydraulic cylinder and safeguard mechanism with disengagement device. Additional hydraulic cylinder hinge-mounted on base for turning around horizontal axis is installed parallel to main hydraulic cylinder, and its rod is hinge-coupled with upper crossmember. Safeguard mechanism is made in form of two stops, each being hinge-connected by upper end with corresponding lifting lever under upper crossmember, their lower ends being connected by brace and engaged with toothed racks rigidly secured on base. Safeguard mechanism disengagement device has support roller secured on brace and two cranks hinge-connected with support made in form of link and installed for lifting by means of outer lever to come in contact with support roller. Running wheels are installed for vertical displacement relative to base not to project relative to base. They are arranged in middle part of base on cross axis passing through lift center of gravity.
