SUBSTANCE: invention relates to compositions of hydrocarbon-based jelly-like sand carriers for hydraulic fracturing of formation and also to compositions of gel-scrapers for cleaning product and crude oil pipelines. Hydrocarbon gel contains in specified proportions hydrocarbon liquid, gel-forming agent, and activator (cationic surfactant), said hydrocarbon liquid being gas condensate, crude oil, or diesel fuel, and said gel-forming agent containing, as nitrogen-containing complexing agent, dimethylethanolamine or diethylethanolamine, or methyldiethanolamine, or ethyldiethanolamine and, as solvent, hydrocarbon liquid such as kerosene, "denormalyzate" and diesel fuel. Gel may additionally contain 0.035-0.70 vol. % of destructor (sodium carbonate or bicarbonate).
