FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: invention refers to cutting tools used to outfit actuators of cleaning and heading machines. Cutting tool includes working head fitted with hard-alloy prick and flutes located in zone of joint of cylindrical holder with working head. Cylindrical holder terminates in shank with annular groove to accommodate retaining ring. Number of flutes equals four. Flutes have two planes which are mutually perpendicular to form cruciform point on end of working head in which center hard-alloy prick is located. Key working plane of flute is arranged at right angle with plane of axial section of cutting tool and is turned through equal to 10-45 deg relative to its axial line. Cruciform point of working head is reinforced by chromium flame plating, for instance. EFFECT: increased resistance of cutting tools for mining machines and increased efficiency of cutting of face. 1 cl, 4 dwg
