FIELD: studying viscosity of liquid varnishes and paints under industrial conditions. SUBSTANCE: device has cylindrical tank with piston, pipe connection with end hole, and compressed spring used as loading part. Cylindrical tank communicates through set of tubes with metering flask that has transparent cylindrical calibrated body incorporating float and indicator in the form of piston- and-rod assembly. Conditional viscosity of liquid medium analyzed is determined by amount of liquid displaced into metering flask. Metering process is partially automated in device that can handle even small samples. EFFECT: enhanced capacity and metering accuracy due to excluding factor of time. 1 dwg
