FIELD: cathode-ray tube mechanical design. SUBSTANCE: frame has flat sides arranged along sides or faces of straight prismatic surface. Sides of frame 30 have external membrane and internal membrane 32 which are installed opposite each other and joined together; each membrane is formed by section of thin metal strip best alternative of which is reinforced by means of stiffening ribs. Device for suspending frame inside cathode-ray tube may be secured by means of special clamps or by welding through frame corners.
