FIELD: food, perfume-cosmetic and medicinal industries. SUBSTANCE: biologically active food additive in the form of macro- and microelements, adaptogen and/or detoxicant contains algae with reduced content of toxic elements. Algae are prepared by extraction with organic solvent with a number of carbon atoms from one to six at ratio of raw material : solvent being equal to 1: (1-20). Content of alginic acid is not more 55 mas.%, iodine, up to 0.25 mas.%. The biologically active additive may additionally include vitamins, and/or provitamins, and/or tannins, and/or saponins, and/or glycosides, and/or sterols, and/or polysaccarides, and/or food tissues, and/or cellulose. As their source, the biologically active additive contains vegetable and/or animal raw material. The biologically active additive is prepared on base of natural raw material which is balanced at an optimum by essential components, and may show properties of adaptogens and detoxicants as well as common properties due to their interchangeable action.
