FIELD: filters for purification of liquids, particularly, drinkable water. SUBSTANCE: filter has a body with inlet and outlet pipe unions. Inlet pipe union is located in upper side part of the body. Installed in the body lower part is additional pipe union for discharge of washing water. Installed on outlet pipe union located on the body cover is a filter element made in the form of changeable cartridge from layers arranged in the following sequence in direction of liquid flow from external surface to filter center : layer of quartz fabric, layer of quartz fibers with diameter of 3-5 mcm; layer of quartz ultrathin fibers with diameter of 1-1.5 mcm; layer of ion-exchange filter cloth from chemisorption cation-exchange fiber; layer of carbon activated nonwoven material; layer of quartz fabric with layer thickness ratio of (2-2.5):(10-12):(8-10):(2-4):(2-4):1, respectively. Ratio of thicknesses of quartz fibers layers with diameters of 3-5 mcm and 1-1.5 mcm is within (1.1-1.3).
