FIELD: devices for producing cutting jets; cutting sheet materials by supersonic jet of liquid. SUBSTANCE: proposed nozzle has pipe union with spherical butt and axial liquid supply passage, holder secured in pipe union, insert fitted flush in holder and embraced by bush made from soft material whose end adjoins spherical butt of pipe union located at spaced relation to butt of insert directed towards it; inner profile of insert is made form of sequence of broken lines. EFFECT: enhanced cutting properties of jet to reduced hydraulic resistance and turbulent disturbances near wall of inner profile made in insert taking into account change in characteristics of supersonic flow of liquid (kinematic viscosity, thickness of boundary layer, etc). 2 dwg
