FIELD: manufacture of three-layer belt such as cupronickel-steel-cupronickel for making coins, shell sleeves, bullet casings, chemical electric current sources and so on. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of preparing contact surfaces of base of steel band and cladding layers of cupronickel belt by etching and trimming; preliminarily annealing steel band; performing combined double-side cold cladding of coiled belts at lubricating and rolling them by several passes; then performing annealing and skin pass rolling for final dimension. Total thickness of cladding layers consists (6-12)% of steel band thickness. Combination modes of cladding and cold rolling are selected in such a way that to achieve high ductile properties of ready bimetallic belt.
