FIELD: nonferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relate to pressure treatment of metals and more particularly to manufacturing bimetallic compositions by plastic codeformation. As base layer material in bimetallic composition, tape of copper with impurity content no more than 0.1% is used, and, as coating material, copper-nickel alloy with 18-20% nickel. Best working characteristics of bimetallic composition are found when summary thickness of coating represents 4 to 29% of thickness of base layer. Summary deformation degree of the packet of copper tape coated with two copper-nickel tapes during cladding process is chosen within a range of 2.4 to 2.7. Process lubricant utilized is 50:50 mineral oil- kerosene mixture. Strip tape is cooled to temperature below 30 C. Cold rolling is carried out at 370-480 C for 700-740 min, followed by cooling with furnace to temperature below 150 C.
