FIELD: plastic metal working; applicable in production of bimetallic compositions, for instance, in manufacture of badges or coins. SUBSTANCE: bimetallic composition in the form of copper-nickel alloy - steel - copper-nickel alloy contains base from steel strip and two layers from copper-nickel strips produced by cold cladding with subsequent cold rolling. Copper-nickel strip contains German silver, grade MNTs15-20, and steel strip contains quality of high-quality carbon killed steel reduced by aluminum. Method of production of said bimetallic composition includes preparation of surface of steel and two copper-nickel strips, cladding of strips by their combined plastic deformation, with deformation degree within interval of 58-64% with use of lubricant in the form of mixture of mineral oil and kerosene in ratio 70-:30, cooling of semifinished rolled products to ambient temperature, cold rolling, degreasing, annealing at temperature of 680-720 C with subsequent cooling together with furnace to temperature not above 140 C, temper-rolling and subsequent finishing of bimetallic rolled product. EFFECT: produced bimetallic composition of silver color with strong joining of layers, featuring high level of plasticity and better marketable and aesthetic properties and prolonged service life. 3 cl
