FIELD: rubber industry. SUBSTANCE: in a butyl rubber production process by isobutylene/isoprene copolymerization involving preparation of polymerization blend from recycle products, isobutylene, and isoprene, cooling of blend by evaporating cold-transfer agents in coolers and heating of cold-transfer agents for periodical removal of ice layer, deactivation of catalyst, degassing, drying of rubber, and processing of recycle products, polymerization blend is supplied for cooling by two streams into in-parallel disposed cooler cascades, one of the streams being cooled to minimum allowed temperature and temperature of the second stream being varied within specified limits, whereas cooler cascades installed on each stream are alternatively heated. Heating of cooler cascade is accomplished by blowing cooler cascade by recycle products, diluent, solvent, or by their vapors by transferring the latter into butyl rubber degassing system. When heating one of the cooler cascades, total blend loading is not changed. If necessary, heating of cooler cascade is performed by consecutive heating of any cooler of this cascade.
