FIELD: civil engineering, in particular, construction of mansard dormer windows. SUBSTANCE: the mansard dormer window has a frame and an opening leaf that holds the window-glass. The upper, lower and side members of the frame and leaf are made of wooden profiles that on the sides facing outside are closed with facing members of atmosphere-insulating material connected to the wooden profiles by engagement and fastening means. The facing members comprise the upper and lower closing members on the side members of the frame and leaf made in the form of plane and corrugated profiles with a similar essentially U-shaped cross-section of the profiles and containing an external wall and two lower side walls. The lower closing member on its upper end has a bent connecting part inserted under the lower end of the upper closing member. The connecting part has a shape providing in the closed position of the window for arrangement of the closing members with their external walls and side walls flush with each other. At opening of the window the lower closing member can be freely turned outside relative to the upper closing part. EFFECT: modified construction of the window with a complete enclosure of the wooden parts of the profiles of the frame and leaf. 11 cl, 6 dwg
