FIELD: acceleration engineering. SUBSTANCE: accelerator used for generating electron and ion beams of nanosecond length with high pulse repetition rate has ferromagnetic induction system in the form of set of ferromagnetic cores with magnetizing turns around them. Electrodes of single shaping line are attached to ends of turns. Electrodes are connected on opposite end to magnetic pulse generator designed to charge shaping line. One of shaping-line electrodes is grounded and open. Magnetic switch in the form of single-turn saturable reactor is inserted in the open circuit. Magnetic pulse generator is, essentially, sequence of circuits set up of capacitors and saturable reactors. Load is proposed to be furnished with shaping line of capacitance lower by two-four times than that of last-circuit capacitor of magnetic pulse generator; magnetic switch characteristics are proposed to be in definite relationship with accelerator components. Charging voltage amplitude of single shaping line is maintained at charging voltage level of CN. EFFECT: reduced discharge time of single shaping line through load. 1 cl, 1 dwg
