FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves determining vision acuity of cataract eye. Electroretinogram is taken. Retinal vision acuity is determined. Invoked visual potentials are additionally determined and computer-assisted training of the optic analyzer is carried out by showing quickly changeable images of predefined sequence during 10 h. Retinal vision acuity is determined for the second time. Invoked visual potentials are determined and electroretinogram is taken. Retinal vision acuity becoming by 0.08-0.2 greater, electroretinogram values in the case of white light wave "a" becoming greater by 28-32% and in the case of wave "b" becoming greater by 15-19% and in the case of red light wave "a" becoming greater by 30-35% and invoked visual potential values becoming not more than by 6.5 greater on amplitude P/100 and not more than by 130 greater on wavelength P/100, artificial eye lens implantation is considered to be indicated. EFFECT: high accuracy of examination.
