FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves determining retinal vision acuity in contact correction maintaining maximum achievable vision acuity. Magnetic stimulation with rotating pulsating magnetic field of maximum inductance being equal to 0.25 Tesla units at pulsation frequency being close to patient pulse frequency is carried out on this background as well as pattern stimulation and video computer-assisted autotraining that is realized as video film looking accompanied by switching display screen on and off to increase vision cortex activity during 2 weeks daily with pauses between the sessions of each course equal to 1-1.5 h. Then retinal vision acuity is repeatedly determined. If the vision acuity is increased by 0.2 and more, the operation is considered to be indicated. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness in determining indications to ametropy treatment.
