FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves irradiating an injured nerve and the adjacent tissues with scanning red laser at wavelength of 0.67 mcm during operation. Scanning frequency is 200 Hz. Radiation is applied following Lissajous figure trajectories over an area of 15-30 cm2 during 2 min. Red laser radiation is administered for 4 min and then infrared laser radiation at 0.83 mc wavelength and scanning frequency of 330 Hz during 6 min is applied to healing postoperative wound and the opposite field on the injured extremity beginning from the second after operation. Red and infrared beam spot diameter is equal to 1.5 mm. Radiation power is equal to 10 mW. Scanning laser radiation therapy course is 10 daily procedures long. Conservative treatment being applied, red laser radiation is applied for 4 min and infrared laser radiation for 6 min to injured nerve skin projection and adjacent tissues and the opposite field on the injured extremity.
