FIELD: railway transport; signaling and communication; traffic control. SUBSTANCE: ac signal is supplied to one end of track circuit, and signal phase is changed in two cyclically repeating periods. At receiving end one value of signals is subtracted from other value. Track is considered non-occupied if difference exceeds threshold value.
