FIELD: fodder production. SUBSTANCE: the method deals with feeding laying hens and introducing alphalinolenic acid into the main fodder at 0.5-15 weight% against the weight of the fodder and antioxidant. Linseed oil is used as the source of alpha-linolenic acid. Fodder for hens contains carbohydrates, protein, vitamins and/or mineral substances and the additive of alpha-linolenic acid at the amount of 0.5-15 weight% against the weight of the fodder and antioxidant at the quantity ranged 0.1-0.6 weight% against the fodder weight.
