FIELD: manufacture of rocket engines, applicable in protection of the inner surface of engine bodies of salvo-fire jet projectile systems, operating under the action of high temperature, pressure and high exhaust velocity of combustion products. SUBSTANCE: the method consists in coating of the inner surface of the engine body with a compound based on polydivinylepoxyurethan rubber with a starting viscosity within 3100 to 3400 P at a temperature of +20C, rotation of the engine body and after-hardening. The compound based on polydivinylepoxyurethan rubber is applied by transversely-helical placement of a volume dose according to the linear law per unit of the covered surface, 0.3 to 0.5 mm thick, per revolution of the engine body, which is rotated at a speed of 12 to 32 rpm. The batch meter is heated to a temperature of +60 to 80 C and moved inside the engine body at a speed of 12 to 18 mm per revolution. The piston in the cylinder of the batch meter is moved respectively at a speed depending on the elementary unit of the compound determined by the thickness of the layer applied per unit of the covered surface. After application of the compound the body is rotated at a speed of 650 to 750 rpm during 5 to 8 minutes. EFFECT: obtained coating of uniform thickness within 0.3 to 5 mm around the edges and over the entire length of the body, depending on its designation, enhanced capacity by 4 to 6 times and process efficiency by 3 to 4 times, as well as enhanced reliability of functioning of the article by 10 to 15%.
