FIELD: rocketry.
SUBSTANCE: method includes placing of heat protective material on inner surface of housing, its forming and heat treatment. According to proposed method, asbestos cloth soaked with binder is glued to preliminarily prepared inner surface of engine housing and is fixed by elastic mandrel. After fixing, cloth is preliminarily formed by elastic mandrel and final forming is done by semirigid mandrel in process of hardening.
EFFECT: provision of required heat and physical characteristics over entire period of operation of rocket engine with inserted solid propellant charges.
