FIELD: ferrous metallurgy, namely rolled stock production. SUBSTANCE: rolling method comprises steps of heating metallic strip, drawing it between driven rolls and then between non-driven rolls; deforming end portion of strip whose length is equal to distance between axes of driven and non-driven rolls by means of non-driven rolls at action of inertia forces of moving strip. Maximum elongation value in non-driven rolls should not exceed value received according to next relation: where λ - elongation value; ρ -specific weight; L - total strip length; q - acceleration of gravity; V - rolling speed in drive stand; l - spacing between axes of driven and of non-driven rolls; σs - real deformation resistance. EFFECT: intensified rolling process, enlarged assortment due to making reduced-mass accurate-size shapes. 1 dwg, 2 ex
