FIELD: chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the improved method of distillation of ammonia from a mixture, in part, the mixture obtaining in reaction between aminonitrile and water (this reaction is named as a cyclization hydrolysis also). Method involves distillation of ammonia containing in caprolactam an aqueous solution by its distillation into column at bottom temperature lower or equal 160 C, under absolute pressure lower or equal 5 bars. Ammonia distilled in a head part of column is compressed under pressure above or equal 10 bars followed by condensation at temperature 25-60 C.
