FIELD: gas treatment. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to processing of sulfur-containing gas and can be used on gas-processing plants and integrated gas processing installations. Method involves methyldiethanolamine solution-mediated removal of acid impurities and mercaptans, drying, degassing of the absorbent and regeneration thereof at 120-140 C. Acid gas from regeneration stage is processed into elementary sulfur via Claus reaction. Purification and drying of sulfur-containing gas are effected simultaneously in a single absorption process with integrated absorbent composed of methyldiethanolamine (40-60 wt %) dissolved in ethylene glycol (40-60 wt %). Absorption can be performed at 30-40 C and degassing after throttling by blowing with inert gas low-soluble in absorbent at absorption temperature or at heating to 60-70 C. EFFECT: considerably simplified technology and increased extensity or selectivity of purification allowing processing of sulfur-containing gases with elevated carbon dioxide content. 3 cl, 3 tbl, 2 ex
