GEAR FOR LOCAL HEATING AND INTAKE OF BITUMEN FROM STORAGE Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: construction industry, equipment for heating bitumen. SUBSTANCE: gear for local heating and intake of bitumen from storage has first leak-tight cylindrical heating element with internal conduit and with external and internal radiators, air non-return valve, suction branch pipe of bitumen exhaust pump and enclosure, second heating element with internal conduit and external and internal radiators mounted vertically on upper part of base of round form. Flat heater is installed in lower part of base. First heating element is placed coaxially on supporting feet inside second element. Suction branch pipe of bitumen exhaust pump is linked to upper end face of first element via flange. Enclosure covering first and second heating elements and base is placed leak-tight with upper part on flange of first heating element and with lower part on holders of base. Free cross-sectional area is formed between enclosure and base, oblique cut of enclosure is located below base, sealed hollow float is attached to side of upper part of enclosure, four feet-rollers are installed diametrically in lower part of base. EFFECT: preservation of quality of bitumen and reduced energy consumption thanks to dynamic heating of limited volume of bitumen. 2 dwg
