FIELD: construction of highways, preparation of hot asphalt-concrete mixture. SUBSTANCE: device has closed electric heating element, bitumen discharge pump with suction connection, and tubular steam outlet valve extending beyond bitumen tank. Heating element is placed in metal casing whose shape follows that of heating element; one end of the latter is open and other is tightly plugged. Suction connection of bitumen discharge pump is welded to its lower part. Local heating device is installed in bitumen tank so that welded suction connection of bitumen pump is placed above open end of casing. EFFECT: simplified design; reduced power requirement for bitumen heating. 1 dwg
