FIELD: construction industry, sealing of pipes under hydraulic test. SUBSTANCE: plug includes body with feeding conduits and sealing member and is fitted with high-pressure chamber coming in the form of flexible bushing with closed space installed between body and sealing member and communicating with conduit that supplies working medium under pressure and split cylindrical insert with outer friction surface located between flexible bushing and article. This approach prevents plug pressing out of space of article under action of test pressure as result of effect of radial forces from side of high-pressure chamber both on sealing member and on cylindrical bushing with friction surface which enhances reliability of sealing of pipes under hydraulic test.
