FIELD: evaluation of quality of various porous materials. SUBSTANCE: sample is placed into cell diving it into working and measurement chambers. Chambers are vacuum-treated. Working chamber communicates with atmosphere. Temperature and pressure increment in measurement chamber are recorded for certain time interval. Each following increment is compared with previous one and time and pressure corresponding to this time are recorded when they are equal. There are given relations to compute filtration coefficient (Kf), penetration factor (K0), diffusion constant D and solubility constant ( Henry constant - Kn) ).
