FIELD: radiation chemistry and technology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to processing technology of irradiated materials. Cerium and berkelium are extracted using di-2-ethylhexylphosphoric acid as an extractant followed by addition simple saturated alcohol to solution to the concentration providing the complete reduction of cerium or berkelium. Octyl alcohol is used preferably as an alcohol. Reextraction is carried out with nitric acid solution taken in concentration 2 mole/l. Method provides the elimination of reducing agent from solutions. EFFECT: improved method of isolation, enhanced degree of treatment of obtained solutions from cationic impurities. 2 cl, 1 tbl, 2 ex
