FIELD: decontamination of radioactive materials and articles. SUBSTANCE: nitric acid solutions of 1.5- 4 mole/l concentration incorporating ions of bivalent silver in the amount of 0.01-0.1 mole/l are used for decontamination. Decontaminating solution is added with 0.01-0.5 mole/l of phosphoric acid and 0.01-0.1 mole/l of sodium persulfate. Single cycle is required to decontaminate surface at room temperature to safe level for reusing material or article upon such treatment. EFFECT: improved decontaminating efficiency. 3 cl, 2 tbl
