FIELD: highway engineering; applicable in regions with pronounced continental climate. SUBSTANCE: method includes heating and separation on mineral fillers into fractions, mixing of heated bitumen binder with filler large fraction and subsequent introduction of fine filler and mineral powder. Prior to supply of heated bitumen binder, filler large fraction is treated with diluent to fully coat it with diluent. Separation of fillers is performed by 5-mm boundary grain. Diluent is used in form of oil tar or residual oil. Amount of diluent for asphalt concrete from hot mixes equals 0.7-1.5% of total mix, and for asphalt-concrete from cold mixes, it amounts to 1.6-3% of total mix. EFFECT: increased cold resistance and endurance of produced asphalt concrete. 6 cl, 2 tbl
