FIELD: oil production. SUBSTANCE: process is related to methods limiting water inflow in oil well by formation of water insulation screens in highly penetrable water-saturated intervals of carbonate pool. Process of isolation of water inflow in oil well refers to injection of aqueous solution of polyacrylamide with cross-linking agent - salt of trivalent chromium. Liquid hydrocarbon is injected into pool prior to pumping of solution of polyacrylamide with cross-linking agent - salt of trivalent chromium and after pumping of solution clayey suspension and solution of polyacrylamide with salt of trivalent chromium are injected. EFFECT: isolation of highly penetrable water- saturated interval of carbonate pool with potential for long-term insulation effect. 1 tbl
