FIELD: oil industry.
SUBSTANCE: method for limiting water inflow in a production well. To implement the method for limiting the water inflow into the well, a hydrophobic composition and a composition for selective water isolation are sequentially pumped to form a water-shutoff screen. The upper part of the screen is destroyed upon contact with oil and is carried into the well when it is put into operation. When the reservoir capacity is higher than 250 m3/day, then a hydrophobic composition is pumped in the form of a hydrophobic emulsion with a high viscosity of at least 1600 MPa⋅s obtaining a solid screen around the well with a radius of 5-6 m. The composition for selective water shutoff is pumped in until the pressure rises no higher than the pressure of violation of the integrity of the casing string of pipes and/or formation.
EFFECT: reduction of water cut in products and consumption of reagents.
