FIELD: rocketry. SUBSTANCE: liquid propellant rocket engine installation has torus-shaped propellant and oxidizer tanks with intake devices and engine arranged in free intra-torus space. Propellant and oxidizer tanks are made in form of segments of hollow torus limited at end faces by surfaces with nonzero curvature being the bottoms of tanks. EFFECT: reduced axial dimensions of liquid propellant rocket engine installation with resulting improved controllability of launch vehicle units furnished with proposed liquid propellant rocket engine installation. 1 dwg
