FIELD: rocketry and space engineering; rocket cryogenic stages. SUBSTANCE: proposed cryogenic stage is suitable for any launch vehicle of medium and heavy classes. Proposed rocket cryogenic stage includes oxidizer tank, fuel tank which is toroidal in shape and is inclined relative to longitudinal axis of stage, cruise engine and toroidal instrument bay located above oxidizer tank. Oxidizer tank is made in form of hemisphere located in torus cavity of instrument bay and engageable with upper head of oxidizer tank; fuel tank is provided with toroidal cylindrical insert. EFFECT: increase of mass of payload injected into orbit to 70 kg with no change in load-bearing scheme of stage. 1 dwg
