FIELD: rocketry and space engineering; construction of cryogenic stages for injection of various payloads into working orbits. SUBSTANCE: cryogenic stage has case, spherical oxidizer tank, fuel tank made in form of torus and cruising engine which is located inside torus and is shifted relative to central axis of cryogenic stage. Cryogenic stage is provided with engine plant of attitude control system and recoverable unit (inside torus). Cryogenic stage case is made in form of upper adapter mounted on middle adapter which is mounted in its turn in lower adapter. Oxidizer tank, toroidal instrument bay and radiation heat exchanger are mounted on upper adapter. Slightly-directional antennae are located on inter-tank truss. EFFECT: possibility of making-purpose cryogenic stage without increasing mass of instrument bay; enhanced reliability and safety of cryogenic stage. 2 cl, 1 dwg
