FIELD: mechanical engineering; vehicles. SUBSTANCE: device for accumulating and transmission of energy has mechanical energy source 5 connected through overrunning clutch 6 and drive shaft 1 with flywheel 4. mechanical energy accumulator 7 is made in form of inlet and outlet shafts interconnected by flat multiple coil spiral spring. Inlet shaft of mechanical energy accumulator 7 is rigidly connected with flywheel 4. Jaw clutch 8 consists of two clutch members one of which is rigidly connected with outlet shaft of mechanical energy accumulator 7 and other clutch member is movably connected with driven shaft 2 connected with load 3. Control unit 9 controls operation of mechanical energy accumulator 5 and jaw clutch 8 by means of corresponding servo drives 10 and 11, inlets of speed pickups 12 and 13 are connected, respectively, to inlet shaft of mechanical energy accumulator 7 and driven shaft 2, their outlets being connected with first and second inlets of control unit 9 to third inlet of which driven shaft speed setter 14 is connected. EFFECT: provision of quick accumulation and quick release of large amount of kinetic energy at high specific power of device at decrease in rated power and weight of engine which improved dynamic characteristics of vehicle. 2 dwg
