METHOD OF CHECK OF QUALITY OF PETROLEUM PRODUCTS, FUELS AND LUBRICANTS Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: study of physico-chemical properties of petroleum products, fuels and lubricants. SUBSTANCE: method consists in forming and measuring spectral images of standard specimens of petroleum products of fuels and oils of known type at known content of compounds of flow concentration and spectral of specimens of petroleum products or fuels and lubricants analyzing them in infra-red visible part of optical spectrum and at measuring excited fluorescence under action of ultra-violet radiation on specimen under test. According to method of maximum consistence of spectral images, standard specimens of known type (grade) at known quality indices are selected and on this basis, type (grade), magnitude of quality indices and content of compounds of low concentration are determined in petroleum products or in fuel and lubricants.
