FIELD: ecological processes of water purification from suspended finely dispersed particles and droplets-gels in flocculation applicable in removal of surfactants, fats, oils, oil products and other suspended in water substances, suspensions and emulsions. SUBSTANCE: method includes introduction of flocculant into water. Prior to flocculant introduction, water is treated with static electric field set up between cylindrical metal vessel and central cylindrical electrode axisymmetrically installed in said vessel. In case of use of cation flocculant, central electrode is connected to negative pole of d.c. source, and cylindrical vessel to positive pole. In anion flocculant is used, central electrode is connected to positive pole of d.c. source, and cylindrical vessel, to negative one.
