FIELD: manufacture of building materials. SUBSTANCE: manufacture of coating involves disintegration of granulated mineral fiber for 10-15 min to achieve specified fractional composition, granulation, separation, and mixing of mineral fiber granules and nepheline fire retardant granules at 80:20 proportion, after which resulting mixture is combined with liquid glass immediately before applying coating. Mineral fiber is obtained from blast-furnace slag melt and/or broken stone or clay brick taken at ratio (11-17):1. It is, in particular. possible to use blast-furnace slag melt and/or broken stone from Magnitogorsk metallurgical complex having following analysis, wt %: SiO2 39.3, CaO 35.3, K 1.35, Mn 1.21, FeO 0.3, Mo 1.19, Al2O3 11.78, MgO 7.93, s 0.65, TiO2 1,28, and broken clay brick having following analysis, wt %: Al2O3 15.50, SiO2 55.12, CaO 6.02, and MgO 1.91. Invention can also be used for heat insulation of power assemblies and furnaces. EFFECT: reduced expenses, expanded raw material resource, and increased fire resistance of coatings. 2 cl
